    Surprises were close on day one, but favourites prevailed

    The new, 2020/21 Baltic Handball League season started on Wednesday night with four matches in Estonia and Lithuania. Surprises were in the air in all of them, but in the end it was HC Dragunas Klaipeda, VHC Šviesa Vilnius, Serviti Põlva and HC Kehra/Horizon Pulp&Paper, who started with a win.

    SELECT Sport is the official ball supplier of BHL

    Baltic Handball League (BHL) is glad to announce that it has signed an agreement with UAB Sports Mode, distributor of SELECT Sport and the latter becomes the official ball supplier for the BHL. The agreement covers the new season 2020/21, which starts tomorrow, with the possibility to extend the cooperation.

    New BHL season starts this week!

    The 2020/21 Baltic Handball League season starts on Wednesday, September 2nd with four matches simultaneously in Estonia and Lithuania. Overall, 11 games will be played during this first week of the reformed competition with all twelve teams in action against their domestic rivals.

The referees are not very often loved, but the game cannot be played without them. Having made substantial changes to the league system, the BHL has also reorganised the refereeing department.

    All teams and players were disappointed, when COVID-19 interrupted the 2019/20 Baltic Handball League season. ZRHK Tenax Dobele maybe even more than others, as they already had one leg in the Final Four, to which they have never qualified. By several rivals the six-time Latvian champion is considered one of the main favourites for 2020/21.
